Brent started his career in journalism writing reviews and features for PC World. That lead him to Gizmodo where for more than three years he served as Gizmodo’s lead writer on mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, wearables), health & fitness, action cameras, alcohol, and outdoor gear. His work also appears in WIRED, Men’s Journal, Outside Magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, Men’s Health, Maxim, Fast Company, The Daily Beast, Deadspin, The Wirecutter, Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, and among others. He has reported from NASA, CES, SXSW, Google, Amazon, San Quentin Prison, Samsung, Motorola, iRobot, the X Games, and many more.
Brent has also written web series for CBS and Titan TV. More recently he wrote, hosted, and produced the popular WIRED series Out of Office with Brent Rose, as well as Bespoke America for Gizmodo. He has written several pilots, and is currently working on developing more series for TV as well as writing his first book.
On the creative side, Brent wrote and produced the animated short film Going It Alone: A Guide to Being Single In a Pandemic, and the web series 50 Characters in 50 Weeks. He cut his teeth writing short plays, films, and sketch comedy.
